Your visit

  • Reservation required, buy your tickets through our ticket sales calendar, choosing the day, time and number of participants.

  • If you want to make a change or cancel your visit, you must do so 48 hours in advance of the time of your visit, contacting the Reservations Department by email. If you notify less than 48 hours in advance, the refund will not be made and the change will be subject to availability at that time.

  • Read the regulations and check the participation conditions.

  • Prepare the trip from your home or accommodation to Forestal Park Tenerife (there is no public transport, so you will have to have a car or take a taxi in La Laguna or La Esperanza).

  • Equip yourself to enjoy the experience 100%.

  • Download your ticket to your mobile device or write down your reservation code, as we will request it at the reception and there is no coverage in the forest.

Your ticket includes

  • 3 hours of activity (approximately half an hour of training and 2 and a half hours of fun). If you love adventure, you can pay an extra €5 per hour per participant to continue exploring our high ropes courses.

  • The equipment needed to enjoy the high-altitude tours (harness).

  • Activity supervised from the ground by qualified instructors.
  • Civil liability and accident insurance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Age: between 5 and 69 years.
  • Minimum height: 1.10 metres.
  • Maximum weight: 110 kg.
  • Children under the age of 13 must always be accompanied by adults, complying with the following ratios:
  • Children between 5 and 8 years old: accompanied at height by one adult for every two children.
  • Children between 9 and 10 years old: accompanied at height by one adult for every five children.
  • Children between 11 and 12 years old: they can climb alone on the easy and medium circuits (green and blue), supervised by an adult in the group who maintains visual contact throughout the duration of the Activities.
  • Activity not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
  • Activity not suitable for pregnant women.
  • Activity not recommended for people with physical problems in general (e.g. heart disease, respiratory problems, etc.). In case of doubt, we recommend that you consult your doctor.

POSSIBLE SETBACKS

Adverse weather conditions

If on the day of your visit the park has to close due to heavy rain, strong winds, storms, etc. or any other adverse weather conditions, the activity will be cancelled for safety reasons. In this case, you may request a refund of the payment you have made or change the date of your booking to another date, subject to availability.

Force majeure

In the event that our facilities are closed due to force majeure (e.g. health restrictions, restrictions imposed by the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Canary Islands Government or any other competent authority, etc.), the activity will be cancelled in accordance with the instructions of the competent authority. In this case, you may request a refund of the payment you have made or change the date of your booking to another date subject to availability.

During the spring season, we open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday from 10 AM to 7 PM (last entry at 4 PM).

Available entry slots: 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM and 4 PM.

Want to visit on a weekday? We also open on any weekday for groups of 12 or more with prior booking! Spring is a busy season, so there may also be availability for smaller groups. Contact us via Whatsapp or mail to check availability.

In addition to Fridays and weekends, we will also be open on the following public holidays:

  • Friday 1 May — Labour Day
  • Monday 4 May — Bridge day (3 May local holiday in Santa Cruz de Tenerife)
  • Saturday 30 May — Canary Islands Day (with free Canarian Trivia for all  visitors)

On public holidays we also open from 10 AM to 7 AM, with last entry at 4 PM.

From 19 June: Open every day! With the start of the school holidays and summer season, from 19 June to 6 September we open every day from 10 AM to 7 PM (last entry at 4 PM).

At the moment it isn’t possible to take pets on the high-altitude trails, so your pet will enjoy walking in the forest as described in the previous section.

At Forestal Park Tenerife we are animal lovers, so pets are welcome. We ask that pets are always kept on a leash and accompanied by a responsible person.

In the event of a sudden change in the weather (e.g. strong winds and/or rain, thunderstorms, risk of fire, etc.), the Company reserves the right to evacuate the facilities for safety reasons. In such an event, a change of day for the activity will be offered, always subject to availability.

The activity can be done in the rain, as long as there is no heavy rain and it has been assessed that it is safe to do the activity. On rainy days we recommend that you bring a mackintosh and a change of clothes as it will be muddy and you will be grateful for something dry to wear at the end of the activity.

In the event that the Company considers the weather to be suitable for the activity, the services booked may not be cancelled or refunded, even if the weather is not clear or the weather conditions are not entirely suitable.

The height circuits and zip lines are currently not accessible to people with reduced mobility who use wheelchairs.

What physical conditions are necessary to carry out the activities?2023-08-15T18:02:41+00:00

The activities require a minimum physical condition to overcome the games and challenges at altitude. Also, participants must not have any physical health problems (e.g. heart disease, respiratory problems, etc.) and accept that there is a risk of injury (e.g. scratches, bumps, bruises, cuts, sprains or other injuries) when doing the activities.

In case of doubt, we recommend that you ask your doctor if you can do Forestal Park Tenerife activities with X condition.

The accident insurance covers up to 69 years of age, therefore, this is the maximum age allowed for activities at Forestal Park Tenerife.

It isn’t recommended that pregnant women practice adventure sports in order to avoid blows, pressure on the abdomen or any other risk for the correct development of the baby. For safety reasons and taking all precautions, our activity isn’t suitable for pregnant women.

I have a child under the age of five, but he/she is taller than 1.10m or vice versa, can he/she enjoy the high-altitude rides?2023-08-15T18:00:29+00:00

To access the high-altitude rides, participants must be at least five years old and at least 1.10m tall, so if any of these requirements above does not meet, you will have to wait until both are met.

I weigh more than 110 kg, can I do the routes at height?2023-08-15T17:59:35+00:00

To access the routes at altitude, participants will be equipped with PETZL harnesses, model PANJI, which are one size fits all and cover a wide range of sizes, thanks to the adjustment of the belt (up to 120 cm) and leg loops (up to 75 cm). It is essential that the harness is correctly adapted to the morphology of your body in order to be able to carry out the activity and avoid ‘harness syndrome’ in the event of getting hung up.

In case you weigh more than 110kg and the harness is adapted to your morphology, you must take into account that a maximum of 130kg is allowed.

How do I know that the facilities comply with safety regulations?2023-08-15T19:34:23+00:00

Every year, both the installations of the high-altitude circuits and the zip lines as well as the supporting trees pass an external inspection in accordance with the European standard for high altitude acrobatic circuits. This certification is visible at our reception and you can consult it here

In any case, please consult our regulations so that you are aware of all the conditions of participation that must be fulfilled in order to enjoy a safe experience (link to the park’s regulations and the conditions of participation sheet).

Do I have to wear a helmet?2023-08-15T17:56:37+00:00

European regulations for acrobatic routes at height don’t require the use of helmets as this isn’t an activity that involves a danger to the area protected by this element. In any case, if any participant needs to use a helmet for any special reason, please contact us to confirm the availability of the material or to give you the relevant instructions in relation to your case.

Since the end of 2016 we have been working with a safety system called ‘continuous life line’ i.e. you connect at the start to a safety cable ‘life line’ that runs through the whole circuit and you cannot disconnect until you land back on the ground.

Before starting the activity, you will receive a safety talk on a test circuit where the instructors will explain how this system works, how you have to use the elements and what steps you have to take to perform the activity under the highest safety standards.

Can I take my camera and/or video camera with me during the activity?2023-08-15T18:13:34+00:00

You can use your mobile phone, photo and/or video cameras, etc. as long as your hands are free for the activity. We recommend that you bring your mobile devices in a case that you can hang from your harness or neck. Selfie sticks are forbidden.

Will an instructor accompany us during the activity?2023-08-15T18:13:01+00:00

The activity is carried out under supervised autonomy, i.e. the instructor is in charge of supervising the safety equipment, teaching how to use it on the test circuit and goes up to the circuits in case help is needed. From the ground they supervise that all participants and companions follow the instructions and rules of Forestal Park Tenerife.

What do I need to enjoy adventure in the trees?2023-08-15T18:12:25+00:00

  • Long hair must be tied back or covered.
  • It is compulsory to wear closed sports shoes that support the foot well. Flip flops, sandals and high heels are not allowed.
  • It is compulsory to wear a T-shirt that covers the waist.
  • Avoid wearing earrings, watches, bracelets or piercings.
  • Wearing long trousers is highly recommended.
  • The use of sports gloves or mittens is highly recommended. If you don’t have gloves, the activity can be done without them.
  • Always come equipped with warm clothes, as the pine forest of Las Lagunetas is a very cold and humid area (in winter the temperature is around 10ºC and in summer it ranges between 15ºC and 30ºC).
  • There is no locker service and your belongings will not be kept at reception, we recommend that you bring your personal belongings in a belt pouch or small backpack.

The instructors at Forestal Park Tenerife try to keep the participants flowing through the park without queues and crowds. In any case, if there is a route with a long queue, we recommend that you look for another less crowded circuit and then go to that route, there are nine different circuits with more than ninety different high-altitude games for you to enjoy an unforgettable adventure.

Can I leave the activity without completing the three hours of activity?2023-08-15T18:09:43+00:00

The Forestal Park Tenerife circuits are designed so that every so often you land on the ground and can rest to continue enjoying the adventure in the trees. In case you are unable to continue the activity, when you land on one of the routes, go to our reception to get unequipped and hand in your harness, even if you haven’t completed the three hours.

Subject to availability and if it is not the last shift of the day, you can pay an extra 5€ per person at our reception to extend your time of enjoyment by an extra hour.

Can I do all the circuits in Forestal Park Tenerife in three hours?2023-08-15T18:07:58+00:00

The three-hour duration has been established for either the easy and medium difficulty circuits or the difficult or extreme level circuits, i.e. around five different circuits combining different difficulties. In any case, at the beginning of each circuit you will find a sign indicating the estimated duration, the difficulty and the games you are going to play, so that you can choose which circuits you want to go on.

The general admission ticket, which gives access to the high-altitude circuits and zip lines, includes three hours of fun (approximately half an hour of training and two and a half hours of adventure in the trees).

In order to comply with all safety measures, please be at our reception thirty minutes before your booking time to check-in calmly, equip yourself with your harness and have the whole group ready for the start of the activity by listening to a safety talk on an initiation circuit.

What is a visit to Forestal Park Tenerife like? Ten steps to enjoy an unforgettable adventure experience in the trees and zip lines2023-08-15T18:05:24+00:00

  1. You can park your vehicle in the free car park area of Las Lagunetas (WITHOUT SURVEILLANCE). Remember not to leave anything of value in sight. The company isn’t responsible for theft, loss or damage caused to your vehicle.
  2. A representative of your group will access the reception to do the check-in and formalise payment in case this was pending.
  3. Organise your belongings (remember there are NO lockers) and get ready to start the first steps to a memorable adventure.
  4. You will access the equipment area to put on your harness and be ready to start enjoying the adventure in the trees.
  5. On the dotted hour, the Forestal Park Tenerife staff will give a safety talk on an initiation circuit to show you how to carry out the activity correctly. Afterwards, all the participants will do the test circuit.
  6. Once you have passed the test circuit, you will begin to enjoy the high-altitude routes and the zip lines, being supervised from the ground by Forestal Park Tenerife instructors.
  7. At all times you will follow the instructions given by Forestal Park Tenerife staff.
  8. When your time is over, you must go to Reception to get unequipped by the Park staff and hand in the harness and/or safety equipment.

If you have been lucky enough to receive a gift card to enjoy the adventure at Forestal Park Tenerife, you have to redeem it to book the places on the day you want to come and visit us. There are different ways to do this:

  • If you have received the gift voucher via e-mail, click on the ‘redeem’ button that appears in the e-mail and follow the steps.
  • In case you have received the printed gift voucher, go to our gift card section and follow the instructions to redeem your voucher.
  • Finally, we can redeem your gift voucher manually. To do this send an e-mail to reservas@forestalparktenerife.es or send a WhatsApp to (+34)630385742, indicating the booking number (F3-XXXXXX-X), as well as the day and time you wish to do the activity. You can also add more participants to share this experience in nature.

Yes, you can purchase a gift voucher which will expire one year from the date of purchase.

The easiest way to purchase a gift voucher is through our dedicated gift card section or click on our online sales calendar. In the purchase calendar tick the checkbox ‘I want it as a gift’ and follow the purchase process. You can send the gift voucher directly to the e-mail address of the person you want to surprise or you can receive it in your e-mail in PDF format and print it to hand it in.

If you are unable to purchase the gift voucher online, please contact us to use another payment method and generate the gift voucher manually. To purchase a gift voucher using this method, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.

Can people accompany me if they are not going to do the activity and do they pay an entrance fee?2023-08-14T14:44:56+00:00

Indeed, people who aren’t going to do the activities can come and watch from the trails how you do the routes at altitude. These visitors will enter the park free of charge, so there is no need to book a ticket for them.

During the celebration of events, the access of these companions will be limited to one every four participants in the activity. Likewise, in the event that the companions interfere with the safety of the participants in the adventure, they will be asked to wait in the Reception area or outside the facilities.

When are children allowed to go alone during the tour?2023-08-14T14:45:13+00:00

Children under the age of eleven are never allowed to climb alone.

Children between 11 and 12 years of age can climb alone on the easy (green) and medium (blue) circuits, supervised by an adult in the group who maintains visual contact throughout the duration of the Activities.

Children aged thirteen and over can access all the circuits on their own, as long as they comply with all the park’s regulations.

Do adults accompanying children at altitude pay an entrance fee and do they have to go on the circuits?2023-08-14T14:49:24+00:00

Adults accompanying children under the age of thirteen during the high-altitude tours pay an entrance fee and must ensure that the children under their care carry out the activity as indicated by the instructors.

In Forestal Park Tenerife the circuits are divided by colour according to their level of difficulty: GREEN (easy), BLUE (medium), RED (difficult) and BLACK (extreme).

In this sense, depending on the level of difficulty of the route, participants will have to comply with the following height requirement:

DIFFICULTY LEVEL MINIMUM HEIGHT
Easy(green) From 1.10m
Medium(blue) From 1.10m, except Circuit La Graciosa from 1.30m
Difficult(red) From 1.30m or 1.45m, except Circuit Fuerteventura from 1.30m
Extreme(black) From 1.45m

On the other hand, children under thirteen years of age must always be accompanied by an adult at height in compliance with the following ratios:

  • Children between 5 and 8 years old: accompanied at height by one adult for every two children.
  • Children between 9 and 10 years old: accompanied at height by one adult for every five children if they do the easy and medium circuits. If they are over 1.45m tall and want to access the difficult and extreme circuits, every three children must be accompanied by one adult at height.
  • Children between 11 and 12 years old: they can climb alone on the easy (green) and medium (blue) circuits, supervised by an adult in the group who maintains visual contact throughout the duration of the Activities. To climb the difficult (red) and extreme (black) circuits, they must be accompanied at height by one adult for every three children.
Modification of reservations, cancellations and refunds2024-11-19T21:03:52+00:00

Up to 48 hours before your activity you can change or cancel your booking without any extra charge. If you cancel your booking, you will receive the full amount of the prepayment or ticket payment.

Up to 24 hours before your activity you can modify the date of your booking subject to availability, this modification will not incur any cost. If you cancel your booking, 100% of the amount will be retained (no refund). In any case, up to 3 booking modifications can be made within a maximum period of 1 year.

In the event of a ‘no show’, i.e. not attending on the day of your booking, your booking can’t be changed and no refund of prepayment or ticket payment will be made.

In the event that the facilities have to be closed due to force majeure (e.g. adverse weather conditions, confinement, etc.), a full refund of the amount you have paid for your booking will be made.

At the time of booking, you will be asked to purchase the tickets online or to make a prepayment via bank transfer of at least 30% of the percentage of the budget of your booking. In the second case, the rest of the payment can be made at our Reception either by debit/credit card or in cash on presentation of the exact amount.

Subject to availability, bookings can be made up to one and a half hour before the start of the activity.

The telephone connection in the Protected Landscape of Las Lagunetas where the park is located, has many problems as we work with satellite telephone connection, so if you don’t purchase online, we recommend that you contact our team via WhatsApp (+34)630385742 from 09:30 am to 06:00 pm in winter (November to March) or from 09:30 am to 07:00 pm in summer (April to October).

It depends on the season, day, time and type of group and activity you would like to book:

  • From October to March, for individual tickets we recommend booking at least five days in advance. For groups and events, we recommend booking at least ten days in advance.
  • From April to September, for individual tickets we recommend booking at least ten days in advance. For groups and events, we recommend booking at least twenty days in advance.
  • For school holidays (Christmas season, bank holidays and public holidays, as well as during the summer holidays), we recommend booking individual tickets at least ten days in advance.

In the purchase calendar it only allows me to choose X number of adults or X number of children, is there a mistake?2023-08-14T14:51:12+00:00

If you are making an online purchase on our ticketing calendar and it only lets you choose X number of adults, but does not let you choose more or it doesn’t let you choose X number of children, or vice versa, it means that there are few places left and there are not enough to select all the tickets you need that day at that time.

In this case, you can select another time or another date and time that are in green in our online ticketing calendar.
