Provided we have a rather peculiar microclimate in Las Lagunetas, we have put together a checklist so that you do not forget anything while preparing to live your adventure in Forestal Park Tenerife.
THE WEATHER IN LAS LAGUNETAS
Before coming to our park, always check the weather forecasts in AEMET (State Meteorology Agency).
Enter AEMET’s webpage and click on the municipality of El Rosario (Santa Cruz de Tenerife).
However, beware. The weather forecast may not be completely accurate for las Lagunetas. The weather station is located 907 m.a.s.l. while Forestal Park is located at 1400 m.a.s.l. Remember it is possible to discover a completely different microclimate
within a 100-meter variation in altitude in the island of Tenerife.
Therefore, it is always difficult to assess if it will really rain when predicted or vice versa. Additionally, the fact that we are located at the same elevation as the “sea of clouds”, in combination with the trade winds, make accurate forecasts even more complicated to obtain.
In essence, many days we´ll be able to enjoy the radiant sun above the clouds,
while others we will live our adventure literally in the cloud, foggy adventures! In any case, it is always convenient to keep a close eye on the weather forecast, and to check for any occasional weather alert.
